Pie Guys’ Pizzaprides itself in offering New York-style pizzas exactly like those served in the Big Apple. Having grown up in New York, I can assure you Pie Guys’ pizza is the real deal. The pizza tastes amazingly similar to Manhattan’sfinest New York pizza, which is characteristically hand-tossed with a thin crust and sold as a pie or wide slices to go. Robert Wiley, owner of Pie Guys’, works hard to duplicate that authentic New York pizza taste. What is the secret to his success? It’s the special ingredients and cooking methods he uses to make his pizzas.
“The reason we have quality New York-style pizza is because we make our tomato sauce and dough every day and only use Grandeall-natural Italian Mozzarella cheese on our pizzas,” explains Robert. GrandeMozzarella cheese assures excellent taste because it is made from fresh ingredients, free of additives, fillers and preservatives. You get great flavor, performance and consistency. GrandeMozzarella has a rich, tender, buttery flavor, which makes it the first choice for a classic Italian New York-style pizza, and it is regarded by the industry as best in its class.
Robert, a native of Winston Salem, is a graduate from Appalachian State University with a degree in hospitality management. His primary focus is to serve only the best food to his Winston-Salem and Clemmons customers. There is no doubt he reaches his goal, and the end results speak for themselves. Pizzas are sold in three sizes, 12-inch medium, 14-inch large and 16-inch extra-large, with more than a dozen different toppings to choose from, including meats such as pepperoni, sausage, grilled chicken, meatballs, and bacon. There is also a variety of vegetable toppings available, including green peppers, mushrooms, onions, spinach, and olives. Mix and match as you like or choose from the regular-menu specialty pizzas listed below.

If the mouth-watering New York-style pizzas are not enough reason to visit Pie Guys’, here are a few others. You can order sandwiches, salads, wings, beer & wine and desserts, including creamy Italian cannoli and gelato. A reasonably priced children’s menu is also available. Finally, here is another nice touch from Pie Guys’—with every pizza order you receive a small container of Honey-Cream sauce made from a secret recipe. Robert thanks “Upper Crust Pizza” (1993-2013) for creating this unique recipe. The honey sauce is for dipping leftover pizza crusts and turns your leftover pizza crusts into a dessert. Now that’s what I call special.
