Welcome summer, we have missed you! I’m ready to feel some sand between my toes and ocean breeze in my hair. A fruity beverage in hand would really complete the picture! The beach has always been my haven of happiness and I’m counting the days till my vacation on the Gulf Coast of Florida this summer. What’s your happy place and have you planned your vacation yet?

If, for some reason, a vacation away is not in the cards for you this year, there’s no shortage of things to do in the Triad. WS Dash games provide plenty of affordable entertainment. The fireworks are amazing, and if you’re afraid it’s too hard to get to the ballpark with I-40 being closed, think again! We have found it extremely easy to get there. We are blessed to live in a city with a vibrant arts community which equates to plenty of opportunities to enjoy the talents of our neighbors. Downtown Jazz @ Corpening Plaza on Fridays, 6:30-9:30pm., June-Aug.

Summer Parks Concert Series @ Triad Park in Kernersville or Tanglewood Park in Clemmons: “The Plaids,” on Friday, June 14th; N C Brass Band on Sunday, June 30th; The Embers on Sunday, July 28th; and “Charlie” on Sunday, August 25th.
Sounds on the Square @ Bermuda Run Town green on select Saturdays, 7pm., June-Sept.

We celebrate Father’s Day in the month of June. Father’s roles have certainly evolved over recent decades, and for the better! They are more involved than ever in the everyday care of their children. Studies show that children who have involved fathers are more likely to make better grades in school and are less likely to repeat a grade, or be suspended or expelled from school. They are more likely to go to college and find stable employment and less likely to have a teen birth or spend time in jail. Dads are a special breed and we love them dearly. Wishing a special day to my dad Bobby, Tim, the father of my children and to George, who has been a special addition to our family!

Our June cover features Truliant Federal Credit Union. I’m especially proud to feature this wonderful financial institution. They have graced our back cover for several years now and we are ever grateful for our partnership!

Congratulations to all the graduates and we wish everyone a safe and happy start to summer!

Robin Bralley

Forsyth Family publisher/owner from 2007-2022. She turned over the reins to the very capable Brooke Eagle in 2023 and remains a part of the team as an Account Executive. You’ll also most likely see her stocking magazine racks around town. Robin grew up in Clemmons and has called it home all her life. She has a degree from High Point University and after finding herself downsized from her marketing position in corporate America, Robin joined forces with Forsyth Woman publisher and friend, Keela Johnson to launch Forsyth Family. She and her husband, Tim, have been married for almost 35 years and share two grown daughters, Briana and Morgan, as well as a son-in-law, Briana’s husband, Jonathan and Morgan’s soon to be husband, Deep! She is very excited to welcome her first grandchild in May. Robin and her family are avid music fans and enjoy going to concerts and movies. She loves watching birds on her many backyard feeders and flower gardening. She is an active member of New Day Community Church and feels closest to God on her daily walks at Tanglewood Park with husband Tim. Regarding her favorite thing about Forsyth Magazines, Robin said, “It’s hard to narrow it down to one specific thing, but meeting all of the wonderful people I come in contact with and being a small part of local businesses’ success is top of the list!”
