Happy July!

As we dive into summer, I’m still floating from the BEST day ever—I got married on May 31st in a small, family-only ceremony, followed by an after-party with pizza, good friends, and endless smiles. As we settle into newlywed life, I’m feeling extra grateful for all the love and community around us…including you!

This month’s cover story spotlights Ignite the Night, a powerhouse fundraiser happening July 24th at the Cain Center for the Arts, hosted by our sister publication, LKN Magazine. The evening features a live auction, a performance by The Voice finalist Christina Eagle, and—most importantly—raises critical funds for North Carolina firefighters and first responders. I’ll be there cheering (and probably bidding!), and I hope you’ll join me. Learn more about the event and purchase tickets HERE!

One of my favorite articles in this issue is “Celebrating World Chocolate Day” by Debbie Linville. As a self-proclaimed chocoholic, I’m thrilled to have the perfect excuse to indulge—especially in my latest obsession: Dubai Bars. If you haven’t tried one yet… run, don’t walk! They’re locally made and absolutely heavenly. While I’m sure you can find them in several spots, my go-to is J&J’s Food Mart.

This month we honor a beloved community member through the Steve Ford Memorial Golf Tournament. Steve’s legacy of kindness and service lives on through this meaningful event, with proceeds supporting an education fund for his son, Luke. Steve’s wife, Shannon, has been a longtime friend to both my mom and me, and we’re humbled to celebrate their incredible family.

If you’re looking to strengthen your family’s financial foundation, don’t miss Taryn’s “Budgeting Basics for Every Age.” I’m passionate about financial literacy and so thankful my parents modeled smart money habits early on—this article is a goldmine for passing those lessons forward.

Brooke Culler is the publisher of Forsyth Woman and Forsyth Family Magazines and the voice behind the Forsyth Magazines Podcast. Born and raised in Clemmons, NC, she now calls Winston-Salem home. Though she earned a degree in Elementary Education from High Point University, Brooke followed her passion for storytelling and community connection by jumping straight into the world of publishing after college.

In addition to leading two of the Triad’s most-loved publications, Brooke is also the co-owner of Washington Park CrossFit—where she merges her love for fitness, leadership, and building strong (literally and figuratively) communities.

Outside of work, you'll find Brooke soaking up quality time with her husband, their two dogs (a Bernedoodle and a German Shepherd), and their crew of family and friends. She’s happiest on the water, wake surfing in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, and squeezing in CrossFit workouts all year round.

Brooke’s heart for local connection, positive impact, and high-energy hustle keeps her calendar full—but she wouldn’t have it any other way.
