This past September, New Day Community Church opened its doors in the Lewisville Community.
If you are looking for a place with people who have it all together, that is not us. If you are looking for a place where everyone has it all figured out, that is not us, either. If you are looking for a place where people pretend that they are perfect, dress to impress, or simply want a nice, packaged devotional thought and then return to life as normal, it’s not happening here. Or, if you are looking for promises of prosperity, health, and wealth, then please look elsewhere, too. And if you are looking for a place where everyone votes for the same candidates and thinks the exact same way on every issue, again, this probably won’t be a good fit. But if you are looking for something more, a deep connection with God, and with other people who struggle with real-world problems…a place to explore what it looks like to follow Jesus, then New Day might be the place for you. And you are invited!
During this month, we are going through a series entitled “James, Where the Rubber meets the Road.” We will explore Jesus’ brother James’ letter to the early church. And we will discover, even though it was written two millennia ago, that it still speaks to how to live the Jesus-centered life today. James, if he was anything, was practical!
If you don’t have a faith community or a church home, we invite you to come and join us in our journey as we seek to follow Jesus. We don’t know all the answers, but we strive to trust in the One who does.
It is a New Day. We hope you consider giving us a try. This might be the place you belong.
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
