On Sunday, September 12th, New Day Community Church will open its doors in the Lewisville Community. If you are looking for a place with people who have it all together, that is not us. If you are looking for a place where everyone has it all figured out, that is not us, either. If you are looking for a place where people pretend that they are perfect, dress to impress or simply want a nice, packaged, devotional thought and then to return to life as normal, it’s not happening here. Or if you are looking for promises of prosperity, health and wealth, then please look elsewhere. And if you are looking for a place where everyone votes for the same candidates, and thinks the exact same way on every issue, again, this probably won’t be a good fit. But if you are looking for something more, a deep connection with God, and with other people who struggle with real world problems…a place to explore what it looks like to follow Jesus, then New Day might be the place for you. And you are invited!
During this month, we are going through a series entitled “If Truth Be Told.” We will consider and wrestle with how to make it through a difficult season while going through a relationship break-up from a Scriptural standpoint. How to love and support our aging parents. How to hold on to our sanity and faith while raising a special needs or particularly challenging child. And how to grieve the loss of a loved one or be there for someone who has. Even if you haven’t encountered any of these difficulties in your life so far, chances are you or a close family member or friend will eventually experience them.
If you don’t have a faith community or a church home, we invite you to come and join us on our journey as we seek to follow Jesus. We don’t know all the answers, but we strive to trust in the One who does. It is a New Day. We hope you consider giving us a try. This might be the place you belong.
