Happy February, friends!

A month filled with LOVE…and my birthday! Somehow, I’m turning 35 this year—how did that happen so fast?! I hope this Valentine’s season brings you plenty of joy, connection, and sweet moments with your loved ones.

This issue is bursting with fantastic content! One article I think we ALL need to read is on page 8: Doomscrolling and Its Impact on Your Mental Health. Elisa offers practical strategies to help us reduce our exposure to negative news. I’ll admit, I’m guilty of spending way too much time scrolling on my phone, especially when it’s freezing cold and pitch black outside. If you can relate, I encourage you to check it out and take some steps toward a healthier relationship with technology.

In keeping with the Valentine’s theme, we’ve included a few love-centered articles to inspire you this month:

  • Using the Five Love Languages with Family (page 10)
  • 7 Valentine’s Day Traditions to Start with Your Children (page 48)
  • The View From My Section: Is This Love? (page 82)

While summer may feel like a lifetime away, it’s actually closer than we think! Here at Forsyth Family, we’re already hard at work on our Summer Camp Issues (March–May). If you’re a parent, you know how important it is to plan ahead for your kiddos’ summer adventures. Keep an eye out for some incredible local camp features in the coming months.

February is also Black History Month, a time to reflect, learn, and celebrate the rich contributions of African Americans throughout history. In this issue, we’re excited to share an article on page 62: Sharing African American Inspiration in the Historic Town of Salem. It’s a meaningful piece that highlights the importance of preserving and honoring this history in our community.

As always, thank you for spending time with us each month. Whether you’re curled up with a cup of coffee, reading in between errands, or sharing this issue with a friend, we’re grateful to be part of your day.

Wishing you a month filled with love

Brooke
