While we’re barely adjusting to the idea that it’s October, the wonderful team at Simply Southern Cuisine in Clemmons is here to remind you that Thanksgiving and Christmas are well on the way!

Owner Lisa Miller and her incredible staff are more than thankful for their loyal customers year-round and especially over the holidays. The Clemmons community (and well beyond) has shared the last 18 holidays with the deliciousness of Simply Southern Cuisine – making family time also a joyous celebration of comfort food! These tried-and-true menu favorites are a much-loved tradition as we gather with family, friends and co-workers to celebrate the season.

With a brisk mix of online orders, phone calls and walk-ins, the Simply Southern Cuisine  schedule fills quickly – especially since online orders have increased significantly over the last couple of years! 

If you have plans for catering during the holidays, now is the time to take advantage of their online inquiry form, which is the best way to submit your catering needs and receive an estimate right from Lisa (she always tries to email an estimate within 24 hours of receiving your request – and, if you approve, can book your catered event via phone or email). If you’re a regular customer, you’ll likely receive an email reminder, but it’s easy to mark this off your holiday to-do list now!

Lisa is grateful customers are already thinking ahead which makes all the difference in scheduling, preparation and delivery!

“I sent my first Christmas estimate this year in June, which is unheard of!” she shares. “We had customers asking for the Thanksgiving retail menu in August!”

That’s good news for this popular local business and a friendly “nudge” to anyone with plans for more delicious memories this holiday season. With those calendar pages turning quickly, please note these important deadlines!

• For Thanksgiving, cut-off for orders is Friday, November 22nd, and there will be NO online orders, hot orders or phone orders accepted after that date. Retail hours will be 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday, November 25th through Wednesday, November 27th and closed Thursday, November 28th through Sunday, December 1st.
• For Christmas, cut-off for orders is Saturday, December 14th, with NO online orders, hot orders or phone orders accepted after that date. Retail hours will be Monday, December 23rd 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Tuesday December 24th 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and closed Wednesday, December 25th through Friday, December 27th.

Nothing soothes your holiday stress like a delicious, homemade dinner; and menu options are available either fresh or frozen, so if you prefer, pick up all your favorite dishes frozen and ready to cook at home. Choose a complete meal for three, six or 15 people, or order the individual sides and entrées that are your family’s favorites. Dinner for 15 includes a whole ham or two whole oven-roasted turkey breasts, along with three side items that could include green bean casserole, sausage pecan stuffing, sweet potato casserole and broccoli casserole, among many tempting others. Desserts – including apple pie, pecan pie, pumpkin crisp and cherry yum yum – can be ordered separately.

Through the years, Simply Southern Cuisine has grown and updated frequently, most recently with a much-needed walk-in freezer and exciting plans for more expansion – including a new retail counter and additional retail space – are about to kick off. Keeping up with a growing customer base is a blessing,  and you can rest assured that, no matter what else changes, the company’s original recipes created with the freshest ingredients will always be the same.
