Triad Area Events in July 2025

July offers a variety of interesting and exciting events for families to experience in and around the Triad. Here are some of the top offerings:

The Dash are home for an Independence Day celebration. Don’t miss Winston-Salem’s largest fireworks show. 

An Evening with Steep Canyon Rangers
Blue Ridge Music Center, Galax, Va.
July 5, 7-9 p.m.
Tickets start at $40
Formed while they were in college at UNC-Chapel Hill, the band dove into bluegrass. Over the years, they have headlined festivals such as Merlefest and Grey Fox Bluegrass. They have expanded into country, jam and Americana. 

Zootopia – Carolina Kids Club
Carolina Theatre, Greensboro

Tickets $5
In the bustling animal metropolis of Zootopia, rookie bunny cop Judy Hopps teams up with Nick Wilde, a fast-talking fox, to solve a case. But their partnership faces prejudice, danger and a conspiracy that could change everything. 

Cars & Coffee: Austin-Healey
North Carolina Museum of Art (formerly SECCA), Winston-Salem

Free
Cars & Coffee is free and open to the public. After viewing the British sports cars, everyone is welcome to explore the various art galleries at the NCMA. 

Old Dominion: How Good Is That – World Tour
White Oak Amphitheatre, Greensboro
July 17, 7 p.m.
Tickets start at $58
Old Dominion’s anthems and live shows have put the multi-Platinum band at the forefront of country music. Fusing clever lyrics and an infectious sound has proven to be a winning formula for one of Nashville’s hottest bands. 

Dude Perfect: Hero World Tour

The Dude Perfect show is an action-packed, family-friendly experience. It features signature trick shots with various sports balls and objects, hilarious challenges, engaging audience participation and behind-the-scenes stories. 

Wonder Women of Country + Redd Volkaert

The Wonder Women of Country have discovered that by playing together, their own individual superpowers come alive. Volkaert is a country giant and a Grammy winner. 

Folly Flower Show
Körner’s Folly, Kernersville
July 19-20, Various Times
Time-entry tickets $25
The 3rd Annual Folly Flower Show features fanciful fabrications by local floral designers placed in all 22 rooms of the historic Körner’s Folly. Guests will learn about Floriography, the language of flowers, and the meaning behind various plants.

Free
This juried exhibition will feature eight outstanding emerging artists from North Carolina. Each artist will have over 500 feet to showcase their work. First presented in 1999, this is the third iteration of the show. 

Disney’s Freaky Friday: A New Musical

When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things back to normal. They come to appreciate each other’s struggles. 

Sal Vulcano: Everything’s Fine Tour
Steven Tanger Center, Greensboro
July 25, 7 p.m.
Tickets start at $50
Sal Vulcano is best known for creating and starring in truTV’s hit “Impractical Jokers” and for “The Misery Index” on TBS. This comedy tour follows a 60-market tour in 2024. 

Lyle Lovett and his Large Band

Lyle Lovett, a singer, composer and actor, has broadened the definition of American music through his 14 albums. He fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues with his gift for storytelling.
