With exact measurements and temperatures, a simple recipe can be just the trick when you’re in a pinch, or simply need something simple! This “Simple Cherry Cobbler” recipe can be completed in 45 minutes from start to finish, and doesn’t require fancy equipment. So kick up your feet and indulge your sweet tooth and maybe even your peace of mind.
Ingredients:
2 21-ounce cherry pie fillings
1 cup all-purpose flour
1¼ cup sugar, divided
1 cup whole milk
2 teaspoons baking powder
⅛teaspoon salt
½ cup butter, melted
Directions:
- Bring cherry pie filling to a boil on cooktop then remove from heat.
- With a fork, mix flour, one cup sugar, milk, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.
- Pour melted butter into 6 one-cup ramekins or pie dishes. Pour flour mixture over butter. Add cherry filling; do not stir. Sprinkle remaining sugar over the top.
- Bake at 400 degrees F. for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
