The weather is getting warmer, and the drinks are getting colder at Camel City Coffee in Winston-Salem! As summer approaches, the team at Camel City Coffee is gearing up and getting ready for the upcoming season with brand new drink specials to enjoy alongside the cheerful blooms and greenery on the patio at each location. The Liberty Plaza location boasts a patio reminiscent of a hidden oasis with a majestic view of the skyline in downtown Winston-Salem. Over on Oakwood Drive, across from Thruway Shopping Center, the lively and welcoming covered patio features up to 30 seats, WiFi and outlets to recharge all your devices. Both outdoor spaces are family and pet friendly, too, so bring your kids AND your fur babies for a fun outing!
New spring drinks include the Salted Caramel Cold Foam (pictured), featuring Camel City Coffee’s slow-steeped cold brew, creamy caramel sauce and vanilla cold foam topped with sea salt and a caramel drizzle. Along with new specials, they are also welcoming their creamy, cinnamon-y spin on Vietnamese Iced Coffee back – it is evocative of sweet, melted ice cream with a nice hit of espresso. While you wait for your handmade bevvies, be sure to check out some of their new merchandise, as well. New to the shelves are grey CCC tees, navy blue camper mugs and our fav, the hot/cold stainless-steel neon tumblers! Available in hot pink, neon turquoise and lime green, each tumbler features a line art sketch of the Winston-Salem skyline and holds up to 11 ounces of hot or cold liquid. Bonus: The tumbler even doubles as a koozie for a standard can AND it is top rack dishwasher safe!
In addition to the offerings at each store, you can now take even more Camel City Coffee home with you. Alongside the whole bean coffee available at each store, their bottled (and ready to go) Camel City Cold Brew is returning through the summer. The Camel City Cold Brew starts with coarse ground coffee roasted in Greensboro that is then cold steeped for 20 hours until it reaches smooth, cold coffee perfection. As the world becomes more familiar and we begin to return to “normal,” the Oakwood location will also be slowly adding lunches back to the cold case. Cold Brew Shake – Serves 2
1 cup coffee ice cream (or vanilla or chocolate, for less coffee flavor)
½ cup Camel City Cold Brew
¼ cup + 2 Tablespoons milk or liquid coffee creamer
Place all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. Top with whipped cream and enjoy! For an adult twist, substitute the milk/coffee creamer with Kahlua, Bailey’s or your liquor of choice.
