Happy June!

This month marks the official beginning of summer, and this issue of Forsyth Family is packed with fun summertime ideas for you and your kiddos. From Play and Splash Pad Destinations to planning a budget-friendly experience and beautiful beach getaways in NC, we’ve got your summer covered!

I’d like to wish my dad (aka Teej) a very happy Father’s Day! As you can see from these photos, we look just alike! This man is hard working, knows anything and everything about cars and, while he doesn’t have a dog of his own, he adores his three granddogs. He’s simply the best, and I love him so much! Father’s Day is coming up on Sunday, June 16th – mark your calendars! It’s the perfect time to celebrate all the amazing dads out there.

One of the BEST parts of my job is that we get to support various local nonprofits. Recently, we had the pleasure of sponsoring and attending the Pretty in Pink Foundation’s annual casino night. Breast cancer is a cause close to my heart as my mom is a two-time survivor. This nonprofit is special because they provide underinsured and uninsured breast cancer patients with financial assistance for lifesaving medical treatment. The evening was a HUGE success, raising more than $160,000 – WOW! Check out a recap of the event HERE!

Brooke Eagle

Brooke Eagle is the publisher of Forsyth Woman and Forsyth Family Magazines and the host of the Forsyth Magazines Podcast. She was born and raised in Clemmons, NC and currently resides in Winston-Salem, NC. Though Brooke graduated from High Point University with a degree in Elementary Education, she chose to join the magazines full time immediately after college. Her strong work ethic, love for community and leadership skills have been recognized by others as well! Brooke is the Immediate Past President of the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce, past President of the Professional Women of Winston-Salem (now Triad Women’s Club) and served on the Trellis Support Leadership Council (previously Hospice of Winston-Salem). In addition to her role with the magazines, Brooke is the co-owner of Washington Park CrossFit. Her role with the magazines and the gym aligns perfectly with her personal mission of having a positive impact on the growth and development of her local community. In her spare time, Brooke loves spending time with her family and friends, especially when that time is spent on the water! She loves wake surfing, snowboarding, CrossFit, and being a dog mom to her Bernedoodle and German Shepherd.
