There’s a local coffee shop in Clemmons whose specialty goes well beyond brewing excellent cups of coffee and creating signature lattes. At Be Kind Coffee Co., kindness is an add-on bonus with every cup. As a coffee company built on Proverbs 31:26 and the motto “be kind,” owners Natalie and Amanda Gogolak have spent their first year in business inspiring Clemmons’ coffee-enthusiasts to do just that – be kind. According to this mother-daughter duo – “be kind” is a family motto.
The team at Be Kind Coffee Co. has opened opportunities for others to pay it forward and give back to others, as well as set the example for what it means to live a life based on service and a think-of-others attitude. It’s the perfect place to visit to lift your spirits, experience a word of encouragement, and receive (or give!) a bit of kindness.
In 2021, their kindness touched so many through the Giving Tree, a year-round fixture in their shop. Their efforts to support others have included:

- Cupcakes for Healthcare Heroes
By encouraging their customers to “be a blessing,” they have made an impact on our community and brought awareness to very specific needs that may otherwise go unnoticed.
2022 promises more of the same at Be Kind Coffee Co. With a loyal following that continues to grow, Natalie and Amanda have started a “kind” of movement that shows no signs of slowing down or stopping.

The Gogolak Family recently celebrated their first anniversary with an official ribbon cutting. “In preparing for our one-year celebration,” Amanda explained, “Mom and I went through photos of the last year. It was amazing! What started as a pop-up tent in the parking lot has grown beyond our expectations! We have expanded our outdoor patio and are currently expanding our store, too! The community has been so supportive, and we are blessed beyond measure!”
