Shmedfest is an end-of-summer community bash happening on Saturday, August 27th, from 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Clock Tower Stage. Local bands, Reliably Bad and Soul Jam will be preforming. There will be food trucks and free beverages, including Pepsi products, beer from Foothills, and margaritas. Kids can enjoy a bounce house, face painting, bubbles, and more. This is a free, family-friendly event for the community hosted by Crisis Control Ministry. Crisis Control Ministry assists neighbors in crisis with short-term emergency assistance by providing financial assistance with rent, mortgage, and utilities, food, and prescription medications to residents of Forsyth and Stokes Counties.
