Women Who Care will host the Lions Club Mobile Eye Screening Unit in Clemmons!
Women Who Care invites anyone, ages 6 – 18 (with legal guardian/parent) and ages 19 and older to the Lions Club Mobile Eye Screening Unit at Clemmons United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 6, from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Participants will receive a free blood screening, glucose screening, eye exam and menu ideas for an eye-healthy diet. Spanish interpreters will also be available to assist with language translation.
Women Who Care would like to thank Dr. Baker and the Eye Care Center on Stratford Road for their gracious offer to provide services for part of the day. Women Who Care would also like to thank the nurses who are providing free blood pressure and glucose screenings and Davie County Storehouse for Jesus for glucose screening kits secured by Dr. Mark Hess of Clemmons Community Foundation.
Women Who Care was founded in 2013 as a non-profit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to improving the lives of families and their children in the Clemmons and Lewisville communities. Currently, Women Who Care is organized as a 501 (c)(3) and is an agency fund of the Clemmons Community Foundation. Our mission statement emphasizes the effectiveness of women in accomplishing community goals: Women Who Care promotes social change by harnessing the collective power of women working together to grow philanthropy and distribute grants that expand opportunities to transform the lives of local families and children.
Women Who Care encourages the community to visit the Lions Club Mobile Eye Screening Unit at Clemmons United Methodist Church and to bring participants for an eye screening.
