From the Heart: March 2018

Thank you, Punxsutawney Phil, for six more weeks of winter weather. I guess it’s just as well, with Winter Olympics dominating our televisions in February. Makes you want to run off to the nearest ski resort or ice rink and strap on a pair of skis or skates! I love the inspiring stories of hard work and passion behind each athlete and seeing the pride of the families and countries behind them. I love how it brings the world together, even if for just two weeks.

Mark your calendars for the Komen Walk on May 5th. Keela and I decided to organize a Forsyth Magazine team this year to celebrate the end to my breast cancer journey and her being a 10+ year survivor. We’re calling ourselves the Pink Ladies of Forsyth Magazines and we’d love to have you join us! Register at KomenNorthwestNC.org

Our cover this month features Forsyth Country Day School. They provide a world-class option in education for families in our community and offer so much more than folks probably know. Their campus is gorgeous and has many community events for folks to be involved in. On April 4th at 6:30pm, New York Times best-selling author Dr. Wendy Mogel will talk about how parents can raise self-reliant, appreciative kids. See more details on their ad on page 41. Our final installment for our prom issues and our first installment of our Summer Camp Showcase are just some of the content you’ll find in this month’s issue.

Blessings!

Robin
