“Out and About” in Winston-Salem With The Enrichment Center

On Friday, July 26thguests gathered at the Gateway Gallery on the outskirts of downtown Winston-Salem for the opening of the “Honoring Heroes” exhibit to view one-of-a-kind artwork by the Gateway Gallery artists and the work of Guest Artist Jerry L. Hanes, Sr. The display featured gifts, works of original art, fine crafts, jewelry and cards. All of the proceeds from sales benefit The Enrichment Center’s programs and pay a commission to the artists.

As guests perused the fabulous works of art, they were entertained by The Enrichment Center Percussion Ensemble with special music under the direction of Zach Wood, Instructor. Patriotic songs by Stephanie and Jennifer Jamie, along with special guest vocalist Micah Evstache. The Colors were presented by the Winston-Salem Police Department Explorers Post #783.

Refreshments were prepared and served by the Centers Culinary Arts Students while our friends from RagApple Lassie Winery provided award-winning wine. Ice cream was provided by the Winston-Salem Police Departments “Sweet Reads” Ice Cream truck.
