There’s been a great secret in the Triad since 2013. But, some secrets are made to be shared, and certainly, Triad ECO Adventures is one of those! Locally originated, locally owned, and locally operated by Hal Boyle, Triad ECO Adventures specializes in outdoor exploration of the City through segways, paddleboards, electric bicycles, and trolleys.
“The City of Arts and Innovation is indeed a City to be discovered,” said Hal. “Whether you’re visiting, a new resident or you’ve lived in the community all your life – there is a ton to learn about the Triad. Our tours are designed to be enjoyed by couples, families, bridal parties, corporations, and basically, anyone looking for a bit of adventure! We love showing off our City, and we specialize in giving local and not-so-local tourists a new way to get a taste of Winston-Salem,” shares Hal Boyle, the Tribal Leader of TEA.
And such is a perfect segue into the “Glide & Dine” adventure offered by Triad ECO Adventures! “We have partnered with some of the great local restaurants in the downtown area,” said Hal, “We love our friends at Jeffrey Adams, Young Cardinal, Camel City BBQ, Art of the Taco, and more! Those who are interested in the ‘Glide & Dine’ option book their tour with us, and we make the reservations at the restaurant of their choice! Halfway through, our tour guide drops them at the restaurant of their choice and then returns to finish their tour. It’s a great break and gives everyone a chance to catch up mid-journey!
“It’s really that simple,” Hal explained. “We take care of the fun while the restaurant takes care of the food! It’s up to the tourists to supply the conversation!”
Those who have participated in the “Glide & Dine” experience love it! Hal said, “Though COVID has impacted our business, we’ve figured out that people are looking to get outdoors. They want to experience some fun, and we’re thankful that we can still offer that. Our tours can accommodate up to 16, but we’re currently limiting tours to six for the sake of social distancing.”
If your family or group is interested in scheduling a “Glide & Dine” tour, visit TriadECOAdventures.com. As we move into colder weather, be sure you dress accordingly! “If you tend to get chilly,” said Hal, “We always recommend bringing gloves and a scarf. It can get a little breezy on a segway!”
