As a writer, I naturally love to read. Given the number of book clubs, there’s
even a movie about one, I’m clearly not the only one who loves books. But,
before you head to Barnes & Noble, consider supporting local businesses
with your love of reading. You can do that by purchasing books from
independent bookshops. Luckily, we have multiple amazing options in
Forsyth County.
BOOK FERRET
Located in Sherwood Plaza Shopping Center, Book Ferret sells new and used books. Wondering about the name? The owner chose the name, and theirmascot, Finneas the Ferret (like all his ancestor and relative ferrets), hunts, but for books instead of rabbits!
In addition to selling books, they host events including a book club at the shop. They also sell puzzles, games and “bookish gifts.”
