For years, granite has been the go-to choice for kitchen counters, and more recently, quartz has taken the top spot. Whether a homeowner chooses granite or quartz, or even marble, these natural stone countertops lend themselves to beautiful, durable and lasting décor that continues to bring a great return on investment.
Homeowners, as well as construction builders and designers, trust the decades of experience found at ProStone Granite & Cabinetry. Ross Edwards, manager of ProStone, said, “ProStone has been in business for more than 18 years, headquartered in Greensboro, with a Winston-Salem showroom for the last 14. We carry more than 60 different stones in the showroom, including granite, quartz and marble.
“All of these options have great features and benefits, but without question, 70% of our business is based in quartz. People love the low-maintenance durability that it promises as well as the beauty it adds to a room.”
Lest a customer feels overwhelmed by the options, Ross and his team are available to offer guidance. “We have a unique approach to our business,” he explained. “We only sell what the client needs by the square footage versus most in our industry who charge by the slab. This is a huge cost savings for construction projects, and it results in far less waste.
“We also double-check measurements,” he continued. “We send our team out to measure all projects, so in the unlikely event of a miscalculation, it falls on us, not the homeowner. We are here to answer any questions, and in most cases, we can turn around delivery and installation within two to four weeks.”
This quick turnaround is due to the volume they keep in stock. “We have access to wholesale facilities, and it’s very rare for someone not to find exactly what they are looking for in our inventory.”
In addition to granite, quartz and marble, ProStone Granite & Cabinetry offers a full line of semi-custom cabinet options, including J & K Cabinetry based in Raleigh. Ross shared, “We are very proud of our cabinets and stock a full selection in a variety of price points. Moreover, our cabinet lines are dove-tailed and soft close. They are affordable and beautiful. With our turn-key operation, we can handle everything from purchase, assembly and installation.”
Ross said, “We invite our customers to look at our gallery on our website or stop by the showroom to see our portfolio. We have done some really beautiful kitchens, as well as bathrooms and outdoor kitchens, in the area.”
More than ever, families are looking to make their homes as beautiful, comfortable and functional as possible. ProStone Granite & Cabinetry makes all that possible.

“We selected ProStone for our kitchen and bathroom remodel projects a few months back due to their transparency, responsiveness, excellent reviews, lead times and prices – and let me say, we were not disappointed! There is a reason why they have excellent reviews, and it shows. ProStone provided and installed the cabinets and countertops, and everything looks amazing! It was a very straightforward process, and any questions/renderings/changes were attended to promptly. [The team was] a great pleasure to work with, and we would gladly work with them again on any future projects. Highly recommended!” ~ Houzz Review
