Hard to believe that 14 years ago, the first issue of Forsyth Family Magazine was printed. Goodness how time flies, and my how we’ve grown and improved through the years. None of this would be possible without the support of our readers and amazing advertising partners. For that, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
November is synonymous with thankfulness, and I’m feeling particularly thankful at this time. In the same week, I lost a favorite aunt and was fortunate enough to be a guest at a wedding of a wonderful young couple. Two opposite ends of the spectrum of life. Both were celebrations, and love permeated both events. Celebrating the life of my aunt, Tina Darnell, who was the epitome of love, patience and kindness. Married to my Uncle Buck for 66 years, mother to my cousins Vickie and Bonnie. What an example of a servant heart she was, and I am thankful for having had her in my life! The day after her funeral, we drove to Jefferson, NC to celebrate the wedding of Kara Blue and Harry Johnson. Such a sweet couple with a lifetime of memories to be made. I was grateful to be included as it was a welcome reminder of the circle of life.
