Everyone loves cake! And we all love to serve it to help us celebrate all of life’s milestones and accomplishments. But if you are looking for something a little different, then you have to check out Nothing Bundt Cakes. This nationwide brand takes on the bundt cakes of the past by using the perfect ingredients to make the most moist, deliciously decadent bundt cake you can imagine. On Saturday, September 21st, they will be “celebundting” 5 years in Winston-Salem.
Owners Traci and PJ Moore heard about Nothing Bundt Cakes about seven or eight years ago, and were in Dallas, Texas, when they tried it for the first time. Traci Moore talks about that first experience, “We could not believe how delicious, moist and unbelievable the cakes were. The buttercream cheese frosting topped it off perfectly!” Their excitement grew as they learned more about the company.
Founders Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz started making their bundt cakes in 1997 to entertain friends and family. They knew there was a gap in the market for readily available, delicious cakes, made with real ingredients. They decided to fill that gap, and their brand has grown into a nationwide company, where each bakery still has the home-kitchen roots its founders began with, but also takes a modern approach to the perfection they create with every bundt cake that goes out their doors. The Moores knew they wanted to be a part of this company. Traci went on to say, “We have never owned a bakery—but felt like this was a brand that Winston Salem and surrounding areas would LOVE!” They opened a Nothing Bundt Cakes on September 24th, 2014.
Nothing Bundt Cakes offers four sizes: bundtinis, bite-sized/cupcakes sold by the dozen; bundtlets, the individual size that has one to three servings; the 8″ bundt cake that serves eight to ten, and the 10″ bundt cake that serves 18-20. There are nine different cake flavors to choose from, including a gluten-free option, and all are topped with a delicious buttercream frosting. They also have a featured flavor every month.
Part of the fun of these cakes is the decorations. There is something for every occasion, and this year they have added several new kits, including Yours, Mine & Ours (wedding-themed), Happy Everything, Sweetest in the Patch, Baking Spirits Bright, and Witch Way to the Cakes. Any large cake can be customized and personalized for individuals or businesses. Traci wants everyone to know, “We have so many options to make any of our four sizes customized for any special occasions.” For a small fee, delivery is available locally to Winston-Salem, Lewisville, Clemmons, Kernersville, etc.
Over the last five years, Nothing Bundt Cakes has become an amazing community partner. Traci affirms, “We believe in the community we serve!” Nothing Bundt Cakes has donated and given to a very wide range of organizations, schools, and events in our community over the past five years. Donations range from providing cakes for non-profit meetings to participating as a team in the Susan G.Komen walk. “We have been very blessed to be apart of so many fun and important events in Forsyth County.”
There are a few team members that have been at the bakery since the beginning, including bakery manager Deedee Bowen, who helps run day-to-day operations. This birthday also celebrates the connections these team members have made with their guests and each other through the past five years. At Nothing Bundt Cakes, they truly enjoy every guest that comes into their bakery. It is a great joy for them to celebrate the guests that have been with them since day one and also each new guest who comes in to give them a try. They know their best advertisement is guests talking about what a great experience they have had with Nothing Bundt Cakes, and they LOVE making guests happy.
Join in on all the fun as Nothing Bundt Cakes “celebundts” five years in Winston-Salem for the whole month of September. The featured flavor for September will be split between a new flavor, Blueberry Bliss, and Pumpkin Spice. For the whole month, they will be giving away one insulated cooler with a purchase of four bundtlets. On September 21st—the “bundtday”—there will be raffles and giveaways all day long. In addition to that, they will be giving away cards for a free bundtlet for one year to the first 55 people in line when they open at 10 am. They will also have a 5-minute free bundtlet giveaway from 3 pm to 3:05 pm. So many great things you won’t want to miss!
