May 2022 – From the Heart

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful women out there! Whether you are expecting your first child, knee deep in the terrible-twos or teens or navigating life as an empty-nester, we applaud you! It sounds so cliché, but it truly takes a village to raise children.

We’re settling into our reduced living space; it’s been a bit of a challenge, but we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Moving is hard, y’all! And, moving after 22 years in one place is really hard. Hate to admit it, but I guess I’m a bit of a hoarder. Hate to throw things away that I think may be useful later. And, I went a little overboard with saving my girls’ stuff from their childhood. We got many laughs and a few tears from looking back at some of their writings and artwork. Many thanks to American Moving for moving the majority of my stuff. They were extremely efficient and made the day much easier!

Our May cover features Karin Head of Head Realty Group. Her infectious smile and wonderful personality grab you from the start. I have no doubt you will be in good hands with her team if you’re in the market to buy or sell a home! Give them a call and let them know you saw them in Forsyth Family Magazine! May is also our final installment for our Summer Camp Showcase! Summer is almost upon us, and it’s not too late to plan a fun summer for your child!

Congratulations to all the college grads! Wishing your family a safe and fun Memorial Day holiday as we remember all the veterans who lost their lives in service to our country!

Robin Bralley

Forsyth Family publisher/owner from 2007-2022. She turned over the reins to the very capable Brooke Eagle in 2023 and remains a part of the team as an Account Executive. You’ll also most likely see her stocking magazine racks around town. Robin grew up in Clemmons and has called it home all her life. She has a degree from High Point University and after finding herself downsized from her marketing position in corporate America, Robin joined forces with Forsyth Woman publisher and friend, Keela Johnson to launch Forsyth Family. She and her husband, Tim, have been married for almost 35 years and share two grown daughters, Briana and Morgan, as well as a son-in-law, Briana’s husband, Jonathan and Morgan’s soon to be husband, Deep! She is very excited to welcome her first grandchild in May. Robin and her family are avid music fans and enjoy going to concerts and movies. She loves watching birds on her many backyard feeders and flower gardening. She is an active member of New Day Community Church and feels closest to God on her daily walks at Tanglewood Park with husband Tim. Regarding her favorite thing about Forsyth Magazines, Robin said, “It’s hard to narrow it down to one specific thing, but meeting all of the wonderful people I come in contact with and being a small part of local businesses’ success is top of the list!”
