Imprints Cares, a local nonprofit organization nurturing children, strengthening families and building community by providing multiple programs in the spaces of education and health equity, has announced the public phase of its capital campaign and completion of its fully renovated, 21,000-square-foot headquarters, the Helen and Woody Clinard Center for Thriving Families. The facility is located at 711 Coliseum Plaza Court in Winston-Salem in the former DataMax building.
Imprints Cares serves children and families from before birth until the completion of middle school and provides a variety of supportive programming focused on everything from home visitation during pregnancy and infancy to before and after school care, parenting programs to summer enrichment camps and an inclusion program.
The capital campaign, with a comprehensive goal of $5.5 million, will cover the purchase cost and renovations of the new building and also supplement several of the programmatic needs of the organization.
The move to Imprints Cares’ new headquarters has recently been completed, with the official ribbon cutting ceremony taking place on Thursday, October 17th at 11:00 a.m. In addition, Imprints Cares and its neighbors in Coliseum Park Plaza will welcome visitors during a Community Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, October 19th from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
The public phase of the capital campaign and building opening coincide with Imprints Cares’ 55th birthday, which took place on September 15th.
“The Helen and Woody Clinard Center for Thriving Families is a great achievement for Imprints Cares and a true asset to the community,” said Executive Director of Imprints Cares Claudia Barrett.
“We are equally excited to launch the public phase of our capital campaign and look forward to crossing the finish line on our $5.5 million goal which connotes the 55 years that we have been serving children and families in the community,” she added. “It is a truly exciting time for our organization, and we cannot wait to see what the next 55 years bring.”
