If you think that all cabinet pulls and handles are created equal—you need to visit Parks Decorative Hardware & Plumbing. The decorative hardware and plumbing options are endless, with price ranges that can accommodate any and every budget. Lest you feel that you may be overwhelmed by the process, meet John and Tammy Parks—the owners of Parks Decorative Hardware & Plumbing—who are happy to guide their customers every step of the way. John is the mastermind of the business, and equipped with his technical expertise, coupled with Tammy’s creative background in design, they have pulled together a dynamic business that is a thriving asset to builders, architects, interior designers, and homeowners alike!
“John started the business in 2018,” shared Tammy. “However, his expertise in the industry goes back decades. He learned the ins and outs of hardware and plumbing by working his way up from an entry-level position, all the way to an executive vice presidency. No one knows this business like John, and once we started to see the business need, I left the corporate world to join him full-time. My official capacity is ‘Chief of Everything In Between,’ and my focus is more relational and behind-the-scenes.”
“However,” she continued, “I cannot emphasize enough about how many options there are! John loves to educate people on their choices! Between John and our associate, Emery Cornatzer, there are over 80 years of experience here! The wealth of knowledge is staggering, including such a strong familiarity with brands from yesteryear. They’ve even been able to match up hardware from the 1920s for restoration projects!”
“Plus, the showroom features everything—from knobs, pulls, handles, sinks, tubs, vanities, even to lighting, and fireplaces,” Tammy said. “We also have a full selection of smart technology door locks and innovation in kitchen faucets, which have been growing in popularity this year.”
In addition to the options featured, the store features brands that are not available in the box stores. “In fact, the box stores only have access to about 10% of what is actually in the market,” Tammy explained. “We also have in-house cad software that will enable us to show a customer how hardware will look on their cabinets. It’s an added benefit that you won’t find in a box store.”
She continued, “We have a genuine enthusiasm and love for this business. We work hard to stay up-to-date on all the industry trends, plus we have great relationships with our vendors. Because of our in-house expertise and resources, we can help our customers identify the priorities in their budget and match them to the perfect hardware and plumbing.”
Parks Decorative Hardware & Plumbing not only offers a dynamic showroom to explore, and in-house expertise to guide, but they are a very community-minded business. Tammy shared, “John spent many years as a volunteer EMT, and was also a scoutmaster. I’m actively involved with the Community Design Studio as a board member and I’m also involved with “Women Who Care.” I am also currently serving as the VP of Education at the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce. We love being involved in the community, and part of our company mission is to foster the interest of the next generation. We’ve been working with West Forsyth High School to provide internship opportunities, especially as the demand for skills tradesmen continues to rise!”
