The purpose of the talk is to provide an overview of current economic conditions in the U.S. The characteristics of a recession will be discussed and a determination made of whether the economy is currently experiencing one. An overview of recessions over the the last 50 years will be highlighted. Finally, some possible scenarios will be provided for the economy as we move to 2023 and beyond.
