Literacy Project Needs Volunteers
Read Write Spell needs volunteer reading tutors to serve kindergarten through third-grade public-school students. We provide all of the training and ongoing support necessary for success. Due to the COVID pandemic, the need for tutoring support is greater than ever before. An online information session for people interested in learning more about the program will be held on Tuesday, August 9th at noon on zoom.

About Read Write Spell
Building on the premise that literacy is essential for individual and community success, Read Write Spell works to ensure that every child in Forsyth County learns to read. Read Write Spell advocates for research-based reading instruction for all students and leverages the power of community volunteers to provide free, long-term, one-to-one tutoring to Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WS/FCS) students who struggle with literacy skills.
