Duke Eye Center Innovative Care for You and Your Family

Proudly offering a full range of innovative eye care services for both children and adults, the doctors at Duke Eye Center of Winston Salem provide consultation and treatment for eye conditions, such as cataracts, corneal disease, dry eye, droopy eye lids, glaucoma, and strabismus (misalignment of the eye).  Some procedures are performed right in the office, such as LASIK, along with eyelid, facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries.

Duke Eye Center of Winston Salem was established after ophthalmologist Phillip McKinley, MD donated his practice to Duke more than 20 years ago.   The eye clinic has seen many positive changes and growth through the years and has remained steadfast in its history with dedicated eye doctors who have advanced training in their specialty and a group of highly experienced staff.

Duke Eye Center of Winston Salem is poised to carry on the tradition of excellence with our team of specialty eye care providers.  Frank J. Moya, MD, a Duke-trained glaucoma specialist and experienced cataract surgeon will lead the helm as Medical Director.  Moya is proud to be bi-lingual, having grown up in New Mexico.

“Patient care is a team effort between doctor and patient; it is our job to make sure patients truly understand every aspect of their treatment. Explaining their eye care and proposed treatments in easy-to-understand terms is a huge part of our daily interactions,” said Moya.

The well-being and safety of patients, visitors, providers and staff is top priority. Duke Eye Center of Winston Salem is taking precautions to keep everyone safe during appointments and procedures. It is important to not delay care for your eye condition to avoid complications and advanced stages of disease, even vision loss.
