Happy April!

Our community is buzzing with exciting events this month, and you won’t want to miss out!

First up, Triple Crown Casino Night on April 4th—one of my favorite events! This fun-filled night supports the Pretty in Pink Foundation, helping breast cancer patients in need.

Empty Bowls returns on April 23rd—Second Harvest Food Bank’s beloved annual event. Swing by their beautiful headquarters between 11 AM and 6 PM for the drive-thru experience. Don’t forget to grab your ticket before April 14th at EmptyBowlsNC.org!

On April 26th, two fantastic community events are happening:

The Piedmont Earth Day Fair (page 8) is a free, family-friendly celebration of sustainability and environmental awareness.
Clemmons Community Day at the Jerry Long YMCA (10 AM – 2 PM) is all about fun, connection, and unplugging from the digital world to be fully present with family and friends.

This month’s issue is also packed with heartfelt and inspiring stories. Don’t miss Taryn’s “Bedtime Wisdom” article (page 36)—a touching reminder of how small, intentional moments with our children can create lifelong impact. Fair warning: You might tear up!

Summer is just around the corner, and we’ve got you covered with our Summer Camp section (starting on page 38), filled with exciting opportunities for your kids.

And finally, we’re thrilled to introduce a brand-new series, “Adventure Awaits” by Suzy (page 68). This seven-part series will inspire you to explore new experiences with your family!

Brooke Eagle

Brooke Eagle is the publisher of Forsyth Woman and Forsyth Family Magazines and the host of the Forsyth Magazines Podcast. She was born and raised in Clemmons, NC and currently resides in Winston-Salem, NC. Though Brooke graduated from High Point University with a degree in Elementary Education, she chose to join the magazines full time immediately after college. Her strong work ethic, love for community and leadership skills have been recognized by others as well! Brooke is the Immediate Past President of the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce, past President of the Professional Women of Winston-Salem (now Triad Women’s Club) and served on the Trellis Support Leadership Council (previously Hospice of Winston-Salem). In addition to her role with the magazines, Brooke is the co-owner of Washington Park CrossFit. Her role with the magazines and the gym aligns perfectly with her personal mission of having a positive impact on the growth and development of her local community. In her spare time, Brooke loves spending time with her family and friends, especially when that time is spent on the water! She loves wake surfing, snowboarding, CrossFit, and being a dog mom to her Bernedoodle and German Shepherd.
