Godbey Creek Canine Rescue and Boarding: New Premiere Boarding Facility in Davie County!

BY ADELE CASANOVA

Godbey Creek Canine Rescue is situated on a breathtaking 52 acres in Davie County, North Carolina. This scenic, expansive sitewas originally developed and landscaped in the early part of 2000 by local Davie County businessmen Scotty and Jeff Seaford before becoming the home of Godbey Creek Canine Rescue.

Begun as a non-profit rescue facility in 2013, it now also offers canine boarding and doggie day care. The goal of the facility is to become a self-sustaining canine rescue into perpetuity, a non-euthanasia rescue that rehabilitates and socializes rescues while providing needed training and health care. They strive to match the right pet, right owner and right environment through their adoption process. Hundreds of dogs have been rescued and placed since 2013, and many owners stay in touch with the Godbey Creek staff, sharing news and stories of their beloved companions.

Working toward the goal of self-sustaining rescue, Godbey Creek has begun to offer premiere boarding and doggie day care for local families needing a safe, clean, loving and licensed resort-like facility to board their beloved dogs. The after-tax income from the dog boarding and doggie daycare directly supports the rescue work and enables more abandoned and homeless dogs to be rescued. Clients boarding their dogs at Godbey Creek can feel great knowing that you can pamper your pet with a loving, exceptional boarding experience while helping other animals in need. A dog lovers dream!

Godbey Creek maintains 17 kennels, an office and visiting space housed in an indoor 3,200 square foot facility, as well as 17 fresh air under roof kennels that are shaded and cooled by huge air moving fans. An additional 1/3 acre with a spacious interior playlot is currently being prepared surrounded by a six-foot fence, as well as a six-foot perimeter fence. This will afford fun, healthy leg stretching room for visiting canine companions. Ten new spacious doggie indoor/outdoor suites plan to be added by 2020. All dogs boarding at Godbey Creek enjoy daily outdoor play time (weather permitting) with devoted, trained staff. Coming to Godbey Creek is like a vacation for your dog!
