Ruff Housing Dog Daycare Company, Winston-Salem’s premiere dog care facility, has received the 2011 Family Business of the Year Award from the Family Center at Wake Forest University Schools of Business.

Ruff Housing, owned by Kim and Roger Vaughn, was recognized in the smallbusiness category based on several award criteria: innovative business strategies and practices, business growth and new development, contributions to the community and industry, involvement by different family members and generations and commitment to family well-being.

“We are pleased and gratified to be recognized by such a prestigious university as Wake Forest,” said Kim Vaughn. “This award is a testimony to our employees’ dedication to helping us grow in a short amount of time, while maintaining the best practices to ensure happy dogs and their owners. As dog lovers ourselves, we wanted our facilities to be the premiere dog care facility that the Triad has to offer.”
